It seems like the 80s are bigger than they’ve ever been. They certainly never cease to loom large for me. I’d recently turned 4 when 1980 hit, 14 when 1990 did. For that reason alone, it makes sense why that decade of culture resonates so deeply for me. But I feel like I can see past my bias. Isn’t the tenacity of 80s aesthetics an indication of, dare I say, their quality?
